Abstract

The aim of this paper is to reflect on the process of appropriation of reason, once understood as actions resulting from rationality and which today becomes a kind of rationalization of one's own interests. The object of analysis is the global phenomenon of mutation of meaning attributed to politics in several recent episodes, both in Germany and in the world. The resurgence of fascism does not appear on the horizon, but in a society in which the struggle against the other, perceived as alien and hostile, as competition, determines all spheres of life. What kind of perspectives can we have in front of an increasingly hostile and irrational scenario? Analyzes of the current phenomena of the political scenario help us reflect, broadly and critically, on several aspects of the question asked.
